From the Acropolis to the Arctic, Amalfi to the Azores — the world's most diverse continent in its smallest package.
Europe is the world's most visited continent for a reason — the density of extraordinary things in a manageable area is unmatched anywhere else. A Kyoto temple garden and Athenian ruins sit within 3 hours of each other by air. You can ski in the morning and swim in the Mediterranean the same afternoon in March. The infrastructure is exceptional, the borders (Schengen) are largely open, and every price point from backpacker hostel to palace hotel is catered for. The sheer volume of extraordinary cities — Rome, Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Dubrovnik, Edinburgh, Istanbul — makes sequencing the hardest problem.
