Rwanda — Gorilla Trekking
Rwanda

One hour with mountain gorillas — the most intimate wildlife experience on earth.

Africa · Rwanda

Why visit Rwanda?

One hour with a habituated mountain gorilla family in the Virunga volcanoes is the most intimate wildlife experience available anywhere. The gorillas are within metres. There are fewer than 1,100 mountain gorillas left in the world — all of them in the Virunga mountains shared between Rwanda, Uganda and DRC.

Rwanda has also undergone one of the most extraordinary national transformations in modern history — from the 1994 genocide to one of the most stable, cleanest and fastest-developing countries in Africa in 30 years. Kigali is now the cleanest and most organised capital in sub-Saharan Africa.
