Why ski Queenstown (The Remarkables?

Queenstown is already the adventure capital of the world, and in winter it adds two excellent ski mountains to its already extraordinary portfolio. The Remarkables (named for the jagged ridge line visible from the town) and Coronet Peak are covered by a joint lift pass and offer genuinely good skiing across all levels. Queenstown itself is vibrant, cosmopolitan and stuffed with excellent restaurants and bars — it's one of the few ski destinations where the non-skiing is as compelling as the skiing.
