South America's largest ski area. 100km of pistes just 60km from Santiago, with the best heliskiing on the continent.
Valle Nevado sits at 2,860m in the Chilean Andes, 60km from Santiago, and offers the largest ski area in South America — especially when combined with the neighbouring resorts of La Parva and El Colorado on a joint Tres Valles pass. The off-piste heli-skiing operation is world-class: the Andes at this altitude receive consistent cold, dry powder and the untracked terrain is vast. Santiago is a genuinely excellent city to base in for a day either side.
Per person per night — prices vary by season and booking lead time.
Combine 3 days in Santiago (wine tour to Maipo Valley, Mercado Central, Barrio Lastarria) with 4 days skiing. The combination is genuinely one of South America's great travel experiences and the exchange rate makes it surprisingly affordable.
