America's most extreme ski resort. 2,500 acres, the steepest consistent pitch in the USA, and the infamous Corbet's Couloir.
Jackson Hole is not for everyone — and it's proud of that. The Aerial Tram to the top of Rendezvous Mountain drops you at the top of one of the steepest sustained pitches in North American skiing. Corbet's Couloir requires a jump into a narrow chute to enter. Even the blue runs have teeth. But beneath the extreme reputation there are excellent intermediate options, and the town of Jackson itself is extraordinary — cowboy culture, galleries, wildlife and the elk refuge.
Per person per night — prices vary by season and booking lead time.
Non-skiers can have a better time than at most ski resorts — the elk refuge, Grand Teton National Park, and the galleries and restaurants of Jackson town are genuinely outstanding. Snowmobiling in Yellowstone is 90 minutes away.
