Why ski Alpe d'Huez?

Alpe d'Huez gets more sun than almost any other major resort in the Alps — 300 days per year — which makes it exceptional for spring skiing. The terrain is genuinely varied, from confidence-building blues to the 16km La Sarenne mega-run and serious off-piste on the Pic Blanc glacier. The mountain faces south which means excellent snow quality in cold spells but some caution needed later in the season.
