Switzerland's largest ski area. Five interconnected mountains, royal connections at Klosters, and proper forest skiing.
Davos and Klosters share a ski area covering five mountains and 320km of pistes — the largest in Switzerland. Davos is a proper town (it hosts the World Economic Forum) rather than a resort village, which means prices are noticeably lower than Verbier or Zermatt, and the non-skiing infrastructure is excellent. Klosters is tiny, charming and famously favoured by the British royal family.
Per person per night — prices vary by season and booking lead time.
Buy the Swiss Pass before you arrive — it covers all public transport including the train to Klosters and significantly reduces your overall trip cost. Davos itself has proper supermarkets, pharmacies and restaurants which keeps food costs way down versus resort villages.
