La Plagne regularly claims the title of Europe's most-visited ski resort, and with good reason — the Paradiski lift pass connects it to Les Arcs for a combined 425km of pistes, the terrain genuinely works for all levels, and the resort is set up perfectly for families. The glacier at 3,250m provides high-altitude snowsure skiing and there's even a bobsled track from the 1992 Albertville Olympics.

Belle Plagne is the most attractive of the ten villages and gives you easy access across the whole mountain. Avoid Plagne Centre which is functional but soulless.
